Th largest sport fishing yacht in the world emerges from the build shed.
Anyone who’s fished for marlin, tuna and other big game fish offshore will recognize the lines of the massive new yacht—code named Project 406—that’s just emerged from a build shed at the Royal Huisman superyacht shipyard in The Netherlands. But since it measures over 170-feet long, it’s safe to say that no one has ever seen a sportfishing yacht quite like it.

In fact, it’s the largest “sportfishing yacht” that’s ever been built—for an experienced yacht owner who’s obviously passionate about fishing.
Vripack Yacht Design Studio are responsible for the project’s naval architecture, as well as the exterior and still-secret interior design. And according to advance reports, the entire build team worked with the owner’s representative and his other team members which include Bush & Noble for expertise on sportfishing and classic yacht forms and Hampshire Marine for the day-to-day technical aspects at the shipyard.

“Project 406 is a sportfisher on steroids,” says Vripack Co-Creative Director, Bart M. Bouwhuis “It has the true proportions and long flaring bow of a typical American sportfish boat. We paired this with the harmonious feel of a luxurious yacht. It’s a supersized model with super chic curves, realized on a grand scale.
No interior photos have been made public yet, but I’m pretty sure owner’s family and guests will also enjoy a level of luxury no other “sportfishing yacht” can provide as well.
