Ole Miss flips in-state 5-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham from Alabama

Five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham is staying home after all.

The Ackerman, Miss., native flipped his commitment from Alabama to Ole Miss on Wednesday after hinting on social media earlier this week that a flip may be in the works.

Cunningham, the nation’s No. 16 prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite, visited Ole Miss over the weekend and was on hand for the Rebels’ 28-10 win over Georgia. He was photographed signing autographs at the game and wasted no time in committing to Kiffin four days later.

Cunningham is now the headliner of the Rebels’ class and represents a major win on the high school recruiting trail for Kiffin, known as the “Portal King” for his work in the transfer market. Cunningham, the No. 1 recruit in Mississippi, is the third consecutive top in-state prospect to commit to Ole Miss after five-star linebacker Suntarine Perkins in the Class of 2023 and four-star defensive lineman Kam Franklin last cycle.

Ole Miss now has 10 blue-chip prospects among its 20 commitments. The Rebels’ class is ranked No. 16 nationally.
