Notre Dame vs. Indiana predictions and live updates: CFP playoff first-round game score, odds and latest

Nicolas Radicic, Indiana

A key part of Indiana’s success is using Radicic as little as possible. The Hoosiers have scored the most touchdowns of any FBS team with 70, and they found the end zone on 81.8 percent of their red zone trips, also tops in the FBS.

Radicic, a redshirt freshman who was born in Croatia and moved to the U.S. eight years ago, is 9-for-10 on field goal attempts, his only miss coming from 46 yards in Indiana’s 66-0 victory against Purdue to close the regular season. His longest field goal is 41 yards, so it remains to be seen if he has the leg to hit from 50-plus with the game on the line.

Mitch Jeter, Notre Dame

Notre Dame hasn’t had a lot to worry about since that loss to Northern Illinois in September. But one nagging concern is that Jeter is 6-for-12 on field goal attempts and hasn’t looked right since returning from a midseason injury.

Jeter, who was 23-for-25 at South Carolina before transferring to Notre Dame, has made big kicks in the past. He had two kicks blocked in the loss to NIU, missed time with an injury in October and is 1-for-5 on field goal attempts in Notre Dame’s past four games, including a miss from 27 yards against USC. As a team, Notre Dame is 8-for-18 (44.4 percent) on field goal attempts, a percentage that ranks last in the FBS. Anxiety rating for a last-second kick: High.
