Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks in the third quarter and was ruled out with a chest injury, the team announced.
Thompson was slow to get up after being sacked by Tyrel Dodson early in the third quarter. He returned the next drive but Seattle’s Dre’Mont Jones tackled the Dolphins quarterback, who stayed down before leaving and heading to the locker room.

Thompson was starting for the Dolphins in place of Tua Tagovailoa. Miami placed Tagovailoa on injured reserve this week after the quarterback suffered a concussion in his team’s Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Thompson went 13-of-19 passing for 107 yards before exiting Sunday’s game.
