Two teams desperate for a win battle in Green Bay on Sunday as the Packers are home underdogs against the Los Angeles Chargers. Both teams have losing records and are coming off a loss.
The Packers have lost five of their last six, their only win against a Rams team without Matthew Stafford. The Chargers are coming off a heartbreaking loss, a shootout that ended with a game-winning Lions field goal as time expired. Four of Los Angeles’ five losses have been by three points or less.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The game will be televised on FOX.
Scoring points has not been the problem for the Chargers. Justin Herbert is coming off a 323-yard, four-touchdown performance against the Lions. He’s dealt with a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand since Week 4, was already without wide receivers Mike Williams (out for the season) and Joshua Palmer (IR, Knee), and lost Keenan Allen for part of last week’s game due to a shoulder injury. Adam Schefter reported that Allen is expected to play.
With all of that, Herbert is still in the top 10 in passing yards, passing touchdowns and quarterback rating. Allen’s status is unclear heading into this game.
The Packers’ offense is floundering, and so is Jordan Love. He’s thrown for fewer than 250 yards in seven of nine games and has thrown 10 interceptions, one behind league leader Josh Allen. The Packers’ offense has yet to have a running back rush for over 100 yards or a wide receiver to catch over 100 yards in a single game.
Green Bay allows just 20.2 points per game and has not given up double-digit passing or rushing touchdowns. Los Angeles’s defense allows the second-most yards per game (393.2) and the ninth-most points per game (23.9).
