- Canada entered the fourth quarter down 73-61. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the comeback by scoring or assisting on 14 straight points in the final two minutes.
- With 44 seconds remaining, Canada took the lead with Gilgeous-Alexander’s step-back jumper.
- Sunday’s contest was do or die for Canada following its upset loss to Brazil in the second round. Canada moves on to face Slovenia in the quarterfinals.
