Despite a convincing 5-1 away to Crystal Palace in their last match, there was bad news for Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka left the pitch after injuring his hamstring in the first half and Arteta has confirmed that he faces “many weeks” on the sidelines
After saying he was ‘pretty worried’ about Saka’s injury against Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Arsenal boss added on Monday: “It’s not looking good, he’s going to be out for many weeks.
“It’s going to be a really good exercise for all of us to think of ways to overcome another challenge, because we already had many in the season.”
One of Saka’s potential replacements, Raheem Sterling, is also looking at a spell on the sidelines. In the same press conference, Arteta said that the 30-year-old will be unavailable for “weeks”after sustaining a knee injury.
Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu (both also knee injuries) are the other long-terms absentees for Arsenal.
