Learn everything about Grammys 2018

Grammy Awards are the most prestigious annual awards for music and it is presented by the Recording Academy every year. Every music artists throughout the years considers Grammy Awards a milestone in their career. The Grammys award artists that strived for excellence throughout the year as far as their recordings are concerned.

Here is what’s happened at this year’s Greammys

So, how it works is that a group of people from The Recording Academy vote for the artists in the different categories. This team considers professionals in the industry and end up to a consideration and vote for the best artists.

So, as soon as the red carpet finishes the ceremony begins! The 2018 Grammys were held in New York on January 28 and it was a night to remember! Packed with awesome performances by amazing artists such as Elton John, Kendrick Lamar and one of the best comebacks with Kesha.

Her performance of “Praying” brought tears to many people’s eyes and she is one of the few artists that everyone is happy she is back. Not only that but she was introduced by the amazing Janelle Monae and a wonderful speech. Her performance was backed up by a full on powerhouse of female performances and a chorus by the Resistance Revival. The backup came with Camila Cabello, Cyndi Lauper, Andra Day, Julia Michaels and a whole lot more! If you have’t watched it you are for sure missing out. The “Time’s Up” movement was supported by many artists at the night such as Sara Silverman, 50 Cent and many more, who showed up with a white rose. The “Time’s Up” movement is a powerhouse on its own, supporting every woman.

Lady Gaga also brought tears to our eyes by performing “Joanne” with Mark Ronson and dedicating it to her father’s sister who passed away. She also supported the “Time’s Up” movement and performed “Million Reasons” beautifully as expected.

The Grammys were also impacted by a politically oriented medley by Kendrick Lamar, which took place in front of the American flag. Throughout the performance, Bono, Edge and dave Chappelle popped up and it ended with a statement on violence in America. The dancers collapsed during gunshots echoing in the background.
